The pattern of the test


  • The test will consist of two hours and the standard of the test will be in Hindi and English.
    The test will be conducted in an objective way with multiple choices.
  • The Test will convey an all-out of 100 marks.
    For each question, there will be allotted similar marks.
    There will be the drawback for the incorrect response.
  • Each incorrect answer will bring a removal of one-third of the marks allotted to question.

Weightage of the Test


Recruitment Test and Interview will contain 50 marks each. The aspirants will be selected as per performance in the RT and Interview round.

Application Fee


  • Aspirants will be required to pay the application fee which is RS.25. The amount can either be paid by sending the fee through any branch of SBI with cash or net banking.
  • Candidates who are from SC/ST/PH/ Women, there is no application fee. Though OBC male candidates will require submitting the application fee.
  • Application form submitted without the fee will not be accepted by officials.
  • Once the fee amount is submitted it will not be returned.
  • No request will be considered by any of the aspirants.

The process to apply


  • Aspirants will require applying for the exam by means of online at the website http:/upsconline.nic.in. Aspirants who fill the form with another medium,
  • Aspirants will be required to visit the official website. In case of submitting the form by any other medium, the form will not be accepted.
  • Enter all important details including name, father’s name, date of birth, address, qualifications, category, etc in the application form.
  • Aspirants have to attach the scanned copy of photograph and signature.
  • After the filing of all details step-by-step, it will need to download the copy of the form and get the print out of the application form. As it will be used throughout the admission procedures.
