UPSC DAF 2019: Application Form, Centers & Other Important Details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will provide the Detailed Application Form (DAF) on official website http://upsc.gov.in for applicants who have performed in civil services preliminary examination 2019 and fit for the Main Exam.

The successful applicants in the IAS preliminary exam who are in search of admission to the Civil Services Main Examination will be required to apply online from the website of commission filling the Detailed Application Form (DAF) and attaching the new and fresh scanned copies of the mandatory documents before the last date.

Though the OBC (non-creamy layer) applicants will be needed to fill the OBC proforma together with the UPSC Online Detailed Application Form.

The last date to fill the DAF online will fall in the month of August.

The Civil Services Mains Examination is scheduled to be organized from October to November 2019.  The applicants will be sitting for the exam to take up around 980 posts nationwide.

 Details on payment procedure for Detailed Application Form (DAF) 


Aspirants who decide on paying by cash will require getting the copy of the scheme produced Pay-in-slip while filling the payment method in the Detailed Application Form and submit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the following day.

The Pay by Cash manner will be disabled in the month of August 2019, nevertheless, candidates who have created their Pay-in-Slip before the end of the process will be submitting the fee visiting the counter of SBI Branch during the banking hours on the final day.

Candidates who are incapable of paying the fee on the last date, they will need to select the existing Online Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking Payment on the final date.

The Main Examination will be conducted at following Centers:- 


Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada

Aspirants need to provide the scanned copies of documents with the DAF.

  2. Educational qualification certificate (mandatory)
  3. Certificate supporting age relaxation claims (if applicable)
  4. Disability certificate (if applicable)
  5. Proof of hailing from Arunachal Pradesh/Manipur/Nagaland/Meghalaya/Sikkim/Mizoram (if applicable)
  6. Documents supporting non-creamy layer OBC status (if applicable)
  7. Undertaking for candidates in government service (if applicable)
  8. Certificate of disabled while in defense service (if applicable)
  9. J&K Domicile (if applicable)
